This year, the Yellow Jacket Flying Club (YJFC) proudly participated in the annual Girls in Aviation Day event, hosted by Women in Aviation at our home base, DeKalb-Peachtree Airport. Girls in Aviation Day has always been about encouraging the next generation of aviators, and we’re thrilled to have been a part of it again this year. It was a day filled with learning, excitement, and a glimpse into the future of aviation, led by young and ambitious minds.
This past Wednesday, August 14th, the Yellow Jacket Flying Club (YJFC) hosted a fantastic bonfire event at the West Village fire pits as part of the Week of Welcome festivities. The event was a perfect blend of fun and networking, offering new students a warm introduction to the YJFC community.
On June 14, 2024, the Yellow Jacket Flying Club (YJFC) members gathered for a spectacular evening at the PDK Airport in Atlanta, Georgia. The highlight of the evening was the screening of the iconic movie Top Gun. Watching the high-flying action on the big screen was made even more thrilling with the backdrop of two stunning L-39 aircraft, making it a night to remember
On March 30th, 2024, our Yellow Jacket Flying Club hosted a spectacular event that brought aviation enthusiasts, families, and curious minds together for a day of fun, learning, and breathtaking experiences. One of the flagship events of YJFC, this event was not only highlighted the wonders of aviation but also strengthened our community bonds.
