Uhoh! Thanos snapped the image. Avengers are in the process of getting it back

On March 30th, 2024, our Yellow Jacket Flying Club hosted a spectacular event that brought aviation enthusiasts, families, and curious minds together for a day of fun, learning, and breathtaking experiences. Held at Paulding Airport NW, the event featured a variety of activities that showcased the world of aviation in all its glory. Here’s a detailed look at what made the day so special.

Sightseeing Flights

One of the main attractions of the day was the sightseeing flights. Located at the ramp (see attached map), attendees had the opportunity to take to the skies and enjoy stunning aerial views of the surrounding area. Our skilled pilots ensured a smooth and safe journey for all participants, making it an unforgettable experience.

  • Number of Flights: 13

  • Number of Participants: 31

Static Displays

The ramp also featured an impressive array of static displays, showcasing a variety of aircraft. From vintage planes to modern marvels, visitors had the chance to get up close and personal with the machines that make aviation possible. Enthusiasts and newcomers alike were captivated by the detailed displays and the knowledgeable staff who were on hand to answer questions.

One of the curious young minds said,

The static displays were amazing! I got to see all kinds of airplanes up close, and I even sat in a cockpit! And the STEM activities were the best! I made a tiny plane and watched it zoom across the room. It was the most fun I've ever had! I can't wait to do it again

Information Booth and STEM Activity

In the King Air Conference Room, we set up an information booth and a STEM activity table. Both tables were clearly labeled, making it easy for attendees to find the information they needed. The information booth provided insights into our club's activities, membership benefits, and upcoming events. Meanwhile, the STEM activity engaged young minds with hands-on experiments and demonstrations that highlighted the principles of flight and the importance of science and technology in aviation.

Greeting Tables, Raffle, and Check-In

Upon entering the lobby, guests were greeted by our friendly volunteers at the greeting tables, where they could check in and receive their event materials. The lobby also hosted a raffle, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day. The raffle added a thrilling twist to the day, with fantastic prizes up for grabs!

For those looking to take home a piece of the day, the Pilot's Lounge was the place to be. Our merchandise table featured a variety of items, from stylish apparel to aviation-themed accessories, perfect for showing off your love of flying.

Overall, the event was a soaring success, thanks to the hard work and dedication of our club members, volunteers, and sponsors.

“We are thrilled with the turnout and the positive feedback we received from attendees. I truly think everyone from the toddlers to the retirees enjoyed Airport Fun Day and gained something out of it, said Diya Patel, President of Yellow Jacket Flying Club”

This event not only highlighted the wonders of aviation but also strengthened our community bonds. We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future and continuing to share our passion for flying with everyone.
