The Yellow Jacket Flying Club, Inc. (EIN: 58-1761019), is a Georgia non-profit corporation (the “Corporation”) was founded in 1946 and incorporated August 31, 1987, to provide individuals with opportunities for pursuing the passion for aviation through flight instruction and other aviation programs made available to those associated with the Georgia Institute of Technology (“Georgia Tech”) and the surrounding metro-Atlanta community. The Corporation also works conjunctively with the Yellow Jacket Flying Club (the “Club”), a Georgia Tech student organization, in hosting programs to advance these initiatives. The Corporation is organized and operated as a “charitable organization” within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.
Examples of our aviation education charitable activities and outreach include:
  • Airport Fun Day
  • Fly-In
  • Youth Outreach (Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Young Eagles, etc.)
  • General Meetings with Educational Speakers
  • Field Trips
  • Flight Instruction
The public is welcome at all Club & Corporation events, which are shown on our calendar.
In order to expand our aviation education mission, we accept donations. We accept both monetary donations, as well as donations of goods, supplies, airplanes, avionics, or any other item that could benefit our aviation education mission. Past donations have included airplanes (Cessna 310 & Piper Apache), flight training supplies, avionics, office supplies/furniture, and endowed flight training programs.  In most cases, these donations are tax-deductible.
