The Barry Crouse Service Award was adopted by the YJFC in 2004 as a way to remember Barry and honor Club members that have gone above and beyond the call of duty in providing service to the Club. The award recipient is recognized at the annual YJFC spring banquet. It is the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a YJFC member.

Peter Van Norde Flight Training Program

Peter Van Norde (AE '43) and his family established an endowment fund with the YJFC to award $1,000 to a deserving Georgia Tech student to reduce the cost of obtaining their Private Pilot license. After a student solos, the amount can be used for primary training up until the time the recipient attains their Private Pilot’s certificate.
