Date: Saturday, October 24
Weather Date: Sunday, October 25
Location: Jackson County Airport, Jefferson Georgia (19A)
Why: Fun, food, and games!
For those of you who’ve never been to or don’t know what a Fly-In entails, we basically take either two or more of our aircraft to a nearby non-towered airport and “take over” that airport (with permission of course). It is typically one of the biggest YJFC events of the semester and includes a cookout with socializing, as well as games and activities for both flying and non-flying members, including spot landing and balloon drop competitions! If you’ve never been to a YJFC Fly-In, and even if you have, this is an event you don’t want to miss!
The location for the Fly-In will be Jackson County Airport in Jefferson GA. You also have the option of driving if you’d like. If you’re interested in attending this semester’s YJFC Fly-In, please sign up using the link below.
In addition, we’ll be needing VOLUNTEERS for grilling, buying things (you’ll get reimbursed), and driving items to and from the Fly-In location, so please let me know if you’re willing to help out or if you have any questions.
